Crapo, Risch, Ernst Celebrate Women in Agriculture

Washington, D.C.–U.S. Senators Mike Crapo, Jim Risch (both R-Idaho) and Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) introduced a resolution celebrating National Women in Agriculture today as a part of National Agriculture Week.

“Idaho’s women farmers and ranchers are passionate drivers of our state’s number one economic sector,” said Crapo.  “This resolution honors their essential role in the success of Idaho agriculture. I thank Idaho women for working hard every day to feed our world and inspire future generations of producers.

“Idaho’s agriculture industry would not be the same without the great leadership of our female farmers and ranchers,” said Risch.  “From daily farm and ranch operations to research and development, agricultural education, and agribusiness, I am proud to recognize the significant role and contributions women make to Idaho’s agricultural success.”
