Smart Agriculture Plants New Path for Migrants in Gansu

 

The intelligent greenhouse project has applied the environment control technology, water and fertilizer cycle technology. The tomatoes produced at Gulang Yuehai, an intelligent farming project at Huanghuatan migrant zone of Gulang county, Gansu province, taste good and sell well, driving the employment of a large number of farmers in the migrant area of Huanghuatan. The average monthly income of farmers employed exceeds 4,000 yuan ($578.45).

Gulang county is a famous production base of natural green food and agricultural products with superior geographical and climatic conditions and sufficient illumination. In recent years, the local government has committed itself to building smart agriculture and introducing a number of enterprises with high-technology content to promote economic development and increase the income of local migrants.
