The Laramie County Community College Ag and Equine Pathway was selected as the region 1 winner of the national association of agricultural educators outstanding post secondary agriculture program award.

The program recognizes exemplary post secondary institutions and full-time young farmer and adult ag ed programs

LCCC’s recognition for this award is based on its program mission, curricula, leadership development, partnerships, marketing and professional growth. LCCC’s pathway’s programs include ag business, animal science, equine management, natural resources management, ag production technology and more.

“Its really cool to be selected for that honor because the award looks at our curriculum and the programs that we have as well as partnerships that we have with other folks in the ag industry. A lot of the extra curricular or co curricular things that we do with our students, how we develop leaders and prepare students for the workforce. so it kind of looks at the whole program,” said Pathway Director Lindsey Freeman.

LCCC is excited to continue improving their ag and equine program even more.
