There are still issues with how transactions can be handled

Mole Valley Farmers has confirmed the reopening of its stores today (August 28) after a technical issue forced a full closure. The agricultural and rural retailer announced the closure of all Mole Valley Farmers and Mole Country Stores on social media yesterday (August 27).

The exact nature of the technical issue has not been confirmed. However, in an update today, the store announced that it has reopened but is unable to take payment via cash or card.

The store says it will only be able to serve farmer shareholder account holders who can use their accounts. In a statement on Facebook, a spokesperson for Mole Valley Farmers wrote: “This bank holiday Monday we will be opening our MVF stores between 10am and 4pm. Due to ongoing technical issues we will only be able to serve Farmer Shareholder account holders who can book to their account. We will be unable to take any card or cash transactions.

“We are working to rectify the situation and will provide an update as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.”

Mole Valley Farmers has a number of stores across Devon and Cornwall.
